Hotel Alex Johnson

Historic hotel with a cavernous Western style lobby with a very locals friendly Irish bar in the basement and a hard to meet strangers rooftop bar.  There is no pool available but its a great location to stay in as they statues of Presidents are scattered nearby and there a number of other bars within walking distance.
